Phil is VP Corporate Division at HubSpot, a fast growing integrated marketing SaaS provider, where he is responsible for leading HubSpot's entry into the Mid-Market & Enterprise markets. Prior to HubSpot, he was VP Sales at Kaminario, a Sequoia Capital backed start up that revolutionized the storage industry with its enterprise class, all solid state SAN offering.
Phil spent nearly 10 years at Akamai Technologies, where he was a key contributor to Akamai's explosive growth from its pre-IPO beginnings as an early stage start up to its current position as a leading Internet company with more than $1.6B in revenue. Phil launched several successful initiatives for Akamai, including leading the company's entry into the online video market, building its New York office, reorganizing its Eastern US Sales Division, and developing and expanding Akamai's second generation application acceleration business worldwide as VP of Sales, Application Performance Solutions (APS). After launching APS, Phil was made Vice President, Channel Sales, where he spearheaded efforts to create a new class of channel partnerships to accelerate customer acquisition and growth.
Before joining Akamai, Phil held sales positions at Pegasystems, where he was responsible for commercializing the company’s Business Process Management solutions in the telecommunications market. He also co-founded Summa Systems, a company designed to provide targeted Internet advertisements and content to consumers via in-store terminals.
Phil serves on the Board of Directors of Read To A Child, a non-profit, and Viddler, an online video start up. He holds a B.A. from Duke University in Public Policy and Slavic Languages and is a graduate of MIT Sloan School's Greater Boston Executive Program.
